To Colin Smith and
his team who have produced "Katchet" fielding boards - you have
brought the old slips cradle back into vogue with a much more
portable and effective device.
I was first shown
the device on our recent ashes tour. Since that time we have used
the boards extensively with the Australian Cricket Team.
We have been able
to use these on all surfaces and have found it to work well
anywhere. The players have responded very well to the drills we use.
As a coach who is
on the road for many months of the year, the "Katchet" cricket board
is a welcome addition as it is light, durable and is easily
transportable.
I believe it will
be a welcome addition to any team or club's coaching equipment.
JOHN BUCHANAN
COACH,
AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM

We have used the
‘Katchet’ this season at Durham C.C.C. and found it an extremely
useful addition to our catching practice routines.
It has been used by
our wicket keeper to practice both stood up to the wicket and stood
back. We have also used it for the slip cordon. It is excellent for
working on reactions and is very versatile.
We will be looking
to use it again next year as it was very popular with the players.

“The Katchet is a smart innovation for the modern coach. It is
simple to use and is designed to be easily packed to take wherever
you need it.
Colin has a done a great job in refining the product to provide
realistic simulation for a wide variety of ground fielding and
catching situations. The unpredictable but fair deviation off its
surface will enable players of all levels to hone their catching
skills and reflexes in almost any training environment.
I would recommend the Katchet to all cricket coaches who want to see
their players enjoy their training whilst improving their game.”
