I first came across Omtex in 2003. Rahul Dravid was playing for the Scottish Saltires that season and a number of his wearable cricket items of choice were made by Omtex.
When we launched Katchet 2 years later Omtex became our Indian Distributor and have proven to be a reliable and trustworthy partner over more than 13 years.
Though Omtex were, and are, predominantly a clothing brand they expanded over the years into training and coaching products, including our own.

1969 – The Beginning of a successful journey
Late Mr. Jivanbhai Patel carved a door and entered it to start Omtex with a mission to produce healthwear and accessories of quality standards matching those of the best in the world
1979 – Pioneering the Industry
Omtex was now a pioneer in making elasticated underwear for men capturing markets nationwide. This year also marked the entry of Mr. Dilip Patel (Chairman) into Omtex.
1982 – Winning hearts all over
Omtex was awarded as a Gold Medal Winner of the Trans World Trade Fair. The award was also felicitated to us by the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh. With this success we also started the business of manufacturing Jockstraps and Supporters.
1989 – The Sporty Milestone
The journey saw another milestone when Omtex specialized into sports and we started to lead the business a sporty way. We began manufacturing health supports and body supports. This year we also saw the entry of Mr. Vijay Patel as the Managing Director of Omtex.
1999 – Taking Business Ahead
With the continuous efforts and hard work of Mr. Dilip Patel and Mr. Vijay Patel, Omtex gained momentum and we also manufacturing high quality sportswear.
2005 – Majors in Sports Industry
Omtex successfully gained good name In the sports industry. After capturing majority of the Indian sports, we made uniforms for numerous cricket clubs and associations.
2008 – The International Way
Omtex took a leap forward and started dealing with international clubs from countries like Australia, UK, Canada, West Indies, etc. We also began importing training equipment to expand sports arsenal.
2013 – Swee-ing
The family got bigger and better and Omtex started a women’s shapewear brand ‘SWEE’ led by our new director Ms. Richa Pania
2016 – ‘FITNESS FIRST’
Following our managing director’s idea about health and fitness, omtex plunged into the fitness fraternity launching its new brand ‘Omtex Fitness’ at the Body Power Expo 2016.
