As another year comes to an end here at Katchet we like to look back and thank our Customers, Retailers, Distributors and users for continuing to support what we are doing.

After all without that support we would not be here. The virtuous circle of you supporting our ideas encourages us to bring you more products cannot be underestimated and I like to think the coaching and training of our players is better for it!!

We would say that though, wouldn't we…..

So what has happened this year and what are we bringing you in 2020.

2019 saw a number of additions to the Katchet stable. We re-launched the Skyer on a larger/wider blade with our new Hyper-face pad, which offers exceptional performance and durability. The wider blade gives a much larger sweet spot which has obvious ease of use benefits. We are tweaking the density of the Hyper-Face in 2020 reducing it by approximately 8% which during tests provides even more power. With benefits to the coach far beyond higher and longer catches such as reducing fatigue and strain.

The Skyer 2.0, Max and Mini are and will be the benchmark for coaches fielding bats for years to come.

The KollectaBall K-strike launched mid-season and is a great fit to our Katchet K range. We have been looking at solutions for picking up bowling machine balls, or other situations were the need to collect large volumes of balls presents stresses to users. It is largely an activity we have all put up with doing and many people will not see as a large problem. Personally, having picked up thousands of bowling machine balls the benefit of quickly collecting a bucket of balls, not having to repeatedly bend or reach under bushes and trees is all too obvious.

The KollectaBall platform is tried and tested in the commercial agricultural business where it was developed to collect olives and nuts, it is therefore a solid, sturdy and resilient performer.
The K-strike was adapted for the larger and heavier cricket, hockey and baseballs and wow is it effective.

We fully expect that anyone with a bowling machine will be using the K-strike once they know about it.

Katchet is very much Training orientated and to that end we teamed up with our Indian distributor Omtex to provide a range of training balls, fielding gloves and Merino wool socks to the Katchet range.
The socks are a bit of a step away from our Mantra but we were so impressed with them we thought it a no brainer to make them available.
Omtex is a new name to most in the UK but they are a well established and highly respected brand within the Cricket and sports market in India which can be seen by the number of First Class and International teams wearing their clothing and  equipment.

Lastly we have teamed up with Zwingo to add their balance aid and the fantastic SpinTechs to our range. SpinTechs was developed to improve batting against spin bowling. The one metre square mat should be viewed as an area of rough which spins and bounces differently to the unaffected areas of the wicket. It is challenging whether facing throw downs or especially against spin bowlers but will improve technique.
Added value is provided with its use as a Wicketkeeping training aid.
It differs from the Katchet in a couple of ways. Firstly it is specific for practising keeping against spin bowling, the trajectories of which differ from seam bowling and cannot be match specifically practised with the Katchet.
SpinTechs is able to do this because it can be bowled onto using live bowlers, throw downs or bowling machine. It is therefore very realistic and challenging. It is a must have for any   keeper, at any level, alongside the Katchet and KatchMax.

Our new stock of KoachSak products is arriving in the early New Year.

We have added larger, heavier duty wheels and a couple of different trim colours in Green and Orange to the flagship KoachSak Pro.

We are keen that there is either a colour you like or that matches your Country, Club or School.

We still have a small number of the 2019 edition in Yellow and White trim.

We will also have a limited number of special edition Black KoachSak Pro bags with a Pink Trim!

I think these will go quickly.

Our dubiously named BallSak has proved very popular and not just with Stag Parties!

We originally made it in two colours so coaches could separate colours, type or batches of ball and easily identify them etc.

Listening to coaches feedback we have improved this slightly.
The 2020 BallSak’s will be available in Red, White and our standard Orange.
The reasons are fairly obvious, signifying the predominant colours of cricket balls.
We have also added a name window to each BallSak so they can be further identified.

I will send out further information and images when they are available.

Hope you had a great year and look forward to sharing an even better 2020 with you all

Regards

Colin, Neil and the Katchet team
